NAMIBIA

I first visited Namibia in 2006 and after taking a flight over the Skeleton Coast coastline I vowed to return to explore the area further. After reading about the opening of the Shipwreck Lodge, the first lodge to be opened in the Skeleton Coast National Park itself, in 2018 a return trip was duly booked.

The plan was to self-drive starting from the capital Windhoek and finish at Swakopmond - taking in the Kalahari and Namib Naukluft deserts, the Fish River Canyon the ghost town of Kolmanskop and the Skeleton Coast along the way

What followed was a stunning fourteen days covering 2000 miles, mostly on gravel roads with the vast splendor of the Namibian landscapes keeping every one of those miles a feast for the eyes - and camera.
